Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate required on hire and current.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and current (preferred).
• BSN encouraged (preferred).
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and mental health
• monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical indicators to detect changes in patient conditions
• recognize and act on warning signs of deterioration, such as changes in heart rate, respiratory rate, or mental status
• safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects or allergies
• act as liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team to ensure needs are met
• provide patient education on condition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments
• communicate effectively with doctors, therapists, and social workers to develop care plans
• Epic computer charting
