Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide direct patient care in the Behavioral Health - Geri Psychiatry unit. This full-time night-shift role involves delivering compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients, conducting bio-psychosocial assessments, and collaborating with the treatment team to update care plans at UAB St.

Vincent's East. The position requires an Alabama RN license (or equivalent), BLS certification within 30 days, and a nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program with required licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per facility policies and procedures.
• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments and develop care plans.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to plan and revise goals.
• Co-lead group therapy sessions and evaluate patient responses.
