Job summary

Swift Optometry is seeking a compassionate Optometrist to provide comprehensive care to patients in long-term care facilities, delivering eye exams, disease management, and vision correction to seniors in a bedside setting.

The role emphasizes geriatric patient care, collaboration with a skilled team, and a patient-focused approach to improve quality of life and independence in residents.

Qualifications

• OD license and DEA license required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand/walk for up to 6–8 hours daily.
• Experience in geriatric eye care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts.
• Perform dilated exams.
• Provide diabetic evaluations.
• Treatment of infection and injury.
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses.
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population.
