Job summary

Swift Optometry is seeking a compassionate Optometrist to join our team in Northfield, VT. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive eye care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, including exams, ocular disease management, and education.

You will provide routine and dilated exams, diabetic evaluations, and treatments of infections or injuries, while assisting patients with eyeglasses and maintaining geriatric eye health.

Qualifications

• OD license and DEA license required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Prolonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
• Perform dilated exams
• Provide diabetic evaluations
• Treatment of infection and injury
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population
