Job summary

Swift Optometry in Springfield, Vermont is seeking a friendly Optometrist to join our team serving residents in long-term care facilities. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, manage ocular diseases, and provide vision correction in a compassionate, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• OD license
• DEA License
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
• Prolonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation. Lifting/moving patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
• Perform dilated exams
• Provide diabetic evaluations
• Treatment of infection and injury
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population
