Job summary

Swift Optometry is seeking a friendly and compassionate Optometrist to join our team serving seniors in long-term care facilities in Bennington, Vermont. The position offers full-time hours and a per-patient compensation structure of $40.00–$45.00, with benefits including health insurance stipend, PTO, and malpractice insurance.

Responsibilities include routine exams, dilated exams, diabetic evaluations, treatment of infections and injuries, and fitting eyewear, with a focus on geriatric care

Qualifications

• OD license is required.
• DEA License is required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Prolonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation. Lifting/moving patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts.
• Perform dilated exams.
• Provide diabetic evaluations.
• Treatment of infection and injury.
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses.
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population.
