Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, treat, and supervise rehabilitative services for senior residents. The role involves an interdisciplinary team approach, program development, and potential student supervision in a long‑term care setting.

Must be a graduate of an accredited OT curriculum and licensed in Virginia in good standing, with lymphedema certification and CPR/First Aid/AED.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist curriculum.
• Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia in good standing.
• Obtain/maintain lymphedema certification to evaluate and treat patients.
• Previous experience in a long‑term health care facility preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification required.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates clients, develops treatment goals, and implements OT plans with proper documentation.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices; trains clients and caregivers in using splints and orthotics.
• Selects appropriate activities based on the client’s capacity, intelligence level, and interests.
• Consults with the rehabilitation team to select suitable activity programs.
• Instructs clients in skills for participation in activities and evaluates progress and outcomes.
• Adapts programs to individual needs and participates in staff meetings and training.
