Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and assistive equipment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise PTAs and aides in direct patient care.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and team.
• Educate families and nursing staff on follow-through.
• Interview patients/families about functioning and recovery expectations.
• Document services in medical records and billing data.
• Participate in rehab team conferences and care planning.
