Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in Novato is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care in geriatric rehabilitation and support the clinic’s outstanding outcomes.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, supervise assistants, document care, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize recovery and maintain quality of care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices, ambulatory aides, and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all patient types and levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise PTA/OT and aides in direct patient care.
• Document care in medical records accurately and timely.
• Communicate patient progress with team and families.
• Instruct families and staff on follow-through programs.
• Interview patients to assess function and recovery goals.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team decisions and quality improvement.
