Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver direct patient care and support the rehabilitation team in California. You will evaluate conditions, develop treatment plans, supervise aides, and document progress in patient records.

Qualifications include a PT degree (Bachelor/Master/Doctorate) and CPR certification. Experience in geriatric, neurological, cardiac, or general rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Physical Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities.
• Knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic devices and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all patient types.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Developing effective plan of treatment and obtaining approvals from referring physician.
• Supervising PTAs and Aides in direct patient care.
• Communicating progress with supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
• Instructing families and nursing staff in follow-up programs.
• Interviewing patients and families regarding prior functioning and recovery expectations.
• Documenting in medical records with objective, measurable goals.
• Managing Medicare reviews and denials processes with Rehab leadership.
