Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Florida LPN license is required.
• BLS certification required; IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for assigned participants under the supervision of an RN.
• Administer medications and initiate/maintain IV therapy per nursing rules.
• Counsel or teach patients and families as planned by RN.
• Communicate patient care data to other caregivers per reporting guidelines.
• Document according to established standards.
• Actively participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Perform departmental activities in compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Participate in department meetings, in-services and trainings as needed.
