Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Lutheran Senior Services performs nursing duties within scope of practice and coordinates care to meet residents’ physical, psychosocial, and functional needs. The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to licensure requirements.

Responsibilities include medication administration, IV therapy, care planning, EMR documentation, safety rounds, and supervision of staff to ensure EverTrue standards of care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• BSN preferred for preferred track.
• CPR certification required.
• Specialized training or experience in gerontological nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practices nursing care within the scope of licensure and in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act.
• Works with interdisciplinary team to define care plans and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Administers medications and oversees IV therapy as permitted; manages venous access and infusions.
• Maintains EMR documentation and resident progress notes with accuracy.
• Performs rounds and monitors resident status to assure quality care and safety.
• Supervises certified staff to ensure EverTrue standards are met.
• Coordinates with resident services for continuity of care.
• Ensures safe environment and documents incidents per policy.
• Reports on resident changes and supports investigative protocols when needed.
