Job summary

Bethesda Health in Belleville, IL seeks aLicensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care, assist in assessments, and participate in care planning. You will document findings, communicate updates to the IDT and families, and administer medications per plan.

The role requires IL LPN license, IV certification or willingness to obtain within six months, and CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming an LPN.
• Current license in Illinois as LPN and IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Current CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, visitors and staff.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care by assisting in the assessment of the resident on admission and ongoing basis.
• Documents assessments accurately and timely; communicates significant changes to the IDT and families.
• Participates in care planning and implements nursing interventions per care plan.
• Administers medications/treatments safely; documents and ensures patient safety.
• Maintains composure during crises and uses SBARR for physician communication.
