Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers is seeking a Caring Nursing Assistant to provide daily living activities and compassionate support to our residents under licensed supervision. The role emphasizes confidentiality, hygiene assistance, nutrition support, and participation in care planning.

Responsibilities include recording observations, assisting with mobility, and ensuring safety during lifts and transfers as per the resident care plan.

Qualifications

• Must be listed on the state registry as a Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.
• Ability to lift and transfer 30 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
• Ability to speak English at a level residents can understand.
• Ability to read and write in English to carry out care plans.

Responsibilities

• Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
• Complies with policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assists in personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Provides clean linens and makes beds to meet resident needs.
• Encourages proper nutrition and assists with feeding when necessary.
• Performs resident treatments as assigned within nursing scope.
• Records observations concisely and reports changes to supervisor.
• Participates in resident care planning and care plan activities.
• Promotes activities of daily living per the care plan.
• Interacts with residents according to the Lift Free Program when lifting or transferring.
