Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers seeks a compassionate caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, under licensed staff supervision. The role emphasizes confidentiality, proper hygiene care, and participation in care planning.

You will help with meals, transfers, and daily activities while ensuring safety. Qualifications include LNA preferred, CPR/First Aid preferred, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist for an 8-hour shift.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks.
• Motivation to work with geriatric residents.
• English communication skills, written and verbal for care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene care including bathing and grooming.
• Ensure residents have clean linen and beds are made.
• Support nutrition during meals and snacks.
• Observe, record, and report changes to the Head Nurse.
• Participate in planning resident care and activities of daily living.
• Conduct lifts and transfers per service plan and Lift Free Program.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
