Job summary

Homewood Foundation is seeking compassionate CNAs to assist residents with daily living activities in a senior care setting. You will support hygiene, meals, and mobility while following care plans and maintaining confidentiality. CPR/First Aid are preferred and LNA licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities include documenting changes to the Head Nurse, participating in care planning, and ensuring safety during lifts and transfers. This role emphasizes respect, independence, and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn during shift
• Strong organizational skills
• Motivation to work with geriatric residents
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• CPR certification and First Aid preferred
• Licensed Nursing Assistant in the state where care is provided a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Assist with personal hygiene care (bathing, shaving, dressing, nail care, toilet needs)
• Ensure residents have clean, dry linen and make beds
• Support proper resident nutrition during meals and snacks
• Observe, record, report changes to Head Nurse
• Participate in planning of resident care
• Promote activities of daily living per service plan
• Conduct lifts and transfers per service plan and Lift Free Program
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor
