The Personal Care Assistant at PACE provides physical assistance and attendant care to participants across care settings, including center, home, and transportation. It supports with ADLs and IADLs and follows PACE standards with time management and respectful conduct.

The role emphasizes assisting with mobility, transfers, and ROM under guidance of therapists, along with meal support and activity facilitation; English/Spanish bilingual abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Delaware-approved Personal Care Aide training program or equivalent.
• Completion of a Home Health Aide or Certified Nurse’s Aide program.
• Extensive experience may substitute for training.

Responsabilités

• Provide physical assistance and attendant care across care settings.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques.
• Provide basic personal care and ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Accompany participants to medical appointments and assist with transportation.
• Assist with IADLs (laundry, shopping, meds, light meals, homemaking).
• Maintain a clean, safe center environment and document services.
