Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its Older Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Float Pool in Holyoke, MA. The role requires floating across inpatient units on a regular basis, with 36 hours over three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

You will assess geriatric patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support trauma-informed care and crisis intervention in a compassionate,

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts RN license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years with geriatric and behavioral health patients.
• Experience with dementia, cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, or behavioral disturbances preferred.
• Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care.
• CPR certification is required.
• Ability to float across inpatient units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and psychological condition and document findings.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for geriatric patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical changes promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team to update care plans.
• Provide compassionate support and crisis intervention as needed.
