Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for its Older Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Float Pool. This 36-hour-per-week position involves three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with regular float to multiple inpatient units to meet staffing needs.

You will assess, plan, and deliver specialized nursing care to geriatric patients in a behavioral health setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize treatment outcomes and ensure

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional nursing experience.
• Minimum five (5) years with geriatric and behavioral health patients.
• Experience in psychiatric/inpatient settings, restraint reduction, de-escalation, crisis intervention preferred.
• Experience with dementia, cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, or behavioral disturbances is preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed recovery model of care.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Strong crisis management and time management skills; multitasking and calm, organized performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to geriatric and adult behavioral health in inpatient settings.
• Assess patients and develop/implement individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team and document goals/interventions.
• Float across inpatient units daily based on staffing needs and patient acuity.
