Advocate Health is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Acute Care Elderly Unit to lead nursing staff and oversee patient care plans for older adults. The role requires active unit management, staffing coordination, and collaboration with the Patient Care Supervisor and Director of Patient Care.

The Charge Nurse will ensure safety, adherence to rehabilitation standards, and effective communication across shifts, while maintaining high-quality geriatric care and patient satisfaction.

Qualificações

• Two to four years of progressive nursing experience in a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated clinical competency as a professional nurse.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or advanced education in leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Unit Management—Facilitates the organization and management of the unit and contributes to safe, quality patient care.
• Prepares shift assignments based on staff education, experience and patient acuity.
• Monitors unit activities to ensure timely, neat and appropriate completion of assignments.
• Collaborates with supervisors to adjust staffing to ensure safe, smooth unit operation.
• Supervises and delegates patient care as needed and notifies physicians of changes in patient condition.
• Participates in developing and revising Rehabilitation Nursing Standards and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
• Attends Nurse Management and PI meetings and participates in mandatory in-services including CPR certification.
