Job summary

Kindred Hospital Paramount and Acute Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead a designated group of nursing staff on a unit, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care. The role supports the interdisciplinary team and coordinates with physicians to optimize resident outcomes.

You will supervise RNs, LPN/LVNs, and aides, participate in hiring and performance appraisals, and oversee admissions, transfers and discharges.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current valid RN license in the state employed.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate residents’ care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document resident status in the medical record and report to supervisor and physician.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff on the unit.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges; review assessments.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse drug reactions.
• Maintain inventory and supplies; support performance improvement initiatives.
