Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Acute Care for Elderly Unit (ACE) to lead a 16-bed unit in a NICHE-designated aging care environment. The role requires NC RN licensure, CPR, 2–4 years of nursing leadership experience, and a commitment to evidence-based geriatric care. Typical hours: day shift with rotating weekends and holiday track.

35.1 hours weekly. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, patient care coordination, and collaboration with the Patient Care

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• CPR certification required.
• CRRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unit management and staffing to ensure safe, quality care.
• Prepare shift assignments considering staff education and patient acuity.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Lead safety and performance improvement initiatives.
