Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Geothermal Energy Systems Technician to join the field operations team. The role covers installation, operation, and repair of geothermal equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or certification in Mechanical Fitting, Electrical Engineering, or related trade.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Hands-on problem-solving with pumps, turbines, valves, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain geothermal plant equipment including pumps, turbines, and heat exchangers.
• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and technically adept Geothermal Energy Systems Technician to join their operational team in Welkom . This role is vital for the day-to-day functioning and maintenance of geothermal power generation facilities. You will be responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of geothermal energy systems and associated equipment. This is a field-based position that requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging, hands-on environment to ensure continuous energy production.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain geothermal power plant equipment, including turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers.
