Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
• Minimum 6 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with energy projects.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software (GeoStudio, Plaxis).
• Experience in managing geotechnical site investigations and interpreting field data.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, borehole drilling, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil/rock data to determine foundation design parameters for energy structures.

About the Role

Our client requires a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to support their diverse energy projects, based out of Paarl . This critical role involves assessing ground conditions, managing geotechnical investigations, and providing expert advice to ensure the stability and integrity of energy infrastructure, including wind turbines, solar farms, and transmission lines. You will work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and environmental consultants to mitigate risks associated with soil and rock mechanics. Key Responsibilities
