Job summary

Brightcore Energy is seeking a Driller Assistant to support geothermal drilling operations. You will work with the Lead Driller to set up, operate, and maintain drilling equipment, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires 100% travel across the greater Northeast region and active field participation. The position involves hands-on field work, tool handling, and collaboration with a technical team to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active CDL strongly preferred.
• SST Card required.
• Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.
• Understands utility locate law, safety protocols and quality regulations.
• 5+ years of construction and/or drilling experience; NGWA certification preferred.
• Experience with geothermal heat pumps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Driller in daily drilling operations and setup of equipment.
• Monitor and maintain drilling equipment, troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Maintain records of daily drilling activities and equipment performance.
• Assist with mud systems, pressure control equipment and drill-site logistics.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance on site.
