Job summary
Brightcore Energy is seeking a Geothermal Drilling Technician to mobilize equipment, perform geothermal drilling methods, and install test wells for feasibility studies with the Geothermal team. The role emphasizes safety, organization, and readiness to travel across the Northeast region.
The position requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in any weather, and flexibility to cross-train. A strong background in drilling and environmental methods is essential, with OSHA 30 and valid
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- OSHA 30 certification required; Flagger certification recommended.
- Must have a valid Driver's License with the ability to obtain CDL.
- 5+ years of construction and/or drilling experience; NY/NJ/CT/MA license a plus.
- Experience with geothermal heat pumps.
- NGWA certification preferred.
- Prior experience operating drilling equipment.
- Understands utility locate laws and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Mobilize drilling equipment for urban and suburban environments.
- Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling methods.
- Install test wells and conduct feasibility studies with the Geothermal team.
- Ensure project safety, organization, and security of equipment and personnel.
- Operate and care for drill rigs and related machinery.
- Maintain site safety for the drilling crew.
