Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE) seeks a Department Manager to lead the Geotechnical Services Department in the Charlotte metro area. The role balances technical leadership, project delivery, staff development, and client service within an employee-owned firm.

Ideal candidates will hold a PE license with 8+ years in geotechnical consulting, including staff management and project leadership, to drive growth and maintain BLE's standards across projects and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree with a geotechnical emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive geotech consulting experience with PM and staff leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in subsurface exploration, geotechnical analysis, design recommendations, construction support, and risk management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow BLE's Geotechnical Services Department in the Charlotte metro area.
• Oversee project delivery, staffing, budgets, and client service.
• Provide technical leadership during design, exploration, and construction phases.
• Develop client relationships and pursue growth opportunities for BLE's Charlotte operations.
