SPM Resources is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to develop and expand its Richmond, VA geotechnical operations. The role offers direct interaction with senior engineering leadership, independent project management, client development, and growth of a regional practice.

The ideal candidate has geotechnical experience, a desire for increased responsibility, and long‑term career growth within a national engineering firm.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological/Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• FE/EIT certification or ability to obtain.
• PE license preferred or eligible.
• Experience managing geotechnical projects including budgets, schedules and deliverables.
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigations, foundation engineering, soil testing, and construction oversight.

Responsabilidades

• Manage geotechnical engineering projects from initial proposal through completion.
• Assist with developing project scopes, proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, reports, and recommendations.
• Maintain project quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Develop relationships with clients, contractors, and project partners.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to expand the Richmond geotechnical practice.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field personnel.
• Coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing, and construction-related services.
