Job summary

Engineering Consulting Service in Richmond, VA seeks a Geotechnical Project Manager I to lead geotechnical engineering and CMT projects from proposal through completion. You will analyze data, prepare reports, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients while developing independent project management capabilities.

Responsibilities include supervising drilling and testing, reviewing field reports, preparing proposals, mentoring junior staff, and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of geotechnical experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Geological Eng or Geology required.
• PE or PG preferred.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Manage geotechnical and CMT projects from planning to delivery.
• Review field reports for accuracy.
• Manage budgets, change orders, invoices, and collections.
• Prepare geotechnical and CMT proposals.
• Supervise drilling and testing operations.
• Coordinate with clients and project discussions.
• Mentor junior staff and field personnel.
• Support business development efforts.
