Job summary

Braun Intertec in Duluth, MN is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects from concept through completion. You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, prepare proposals, and deliver practical geotechnical solutions.

The role requires a BS in geotechnical or civil engineering, 3+ years of PM experience, and a PE license in MN or ability to obtain within 6–12 months. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geotechnical or civil engineering.
• Three or more years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure in MN, or ability to attain within 6 to 12 months.
• Ability to lift up to 50 to 75 pounds on a periodic basis.
• Experience managing client relationships and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships through meetings.
• Leadership of a technical or project related team.
• Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
• Develop and execute whole scopes, and prepare engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions.
• Manage projects (scope, schedule, budget).
• Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards.
• Mentor junior level engineering staff.
• Understand and work in compliance with corporate health and safety policies.
