Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer in Minnesota to lead complex geotechnical, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects. You’ll mentor teammates, build client relationships, and drive projects from concept to completion on a team focused on northern Minnesota communities.

This role requires strong communication, data analysis, and technical engineering skills, with a willingness to obtain PE licensure within 12–24 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of professional consulting experience; geotechnical experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license; EIT certification; able to obtain PE licensure within 12–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine geotechnical site observations, construction inspections, and field testing with limited oversight.
• Perform routine lab testing, analysis, and data curation with limited oversight and instruct less experienced personnel.
• Prepare reports and document project data with regular direction.
• Maintain client communication and build relationships; anticipate and meet client needs.
• Prepare proposals for routine geotechnical and material testing projects with direction.
• Manage small to medium sized, low to moderate complexity CMT projects.
• Perform engineering analysis under supervision of senior engineers.
• Develop solutions and prepare engineering reports for simple projects.
