Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Project Engineer - Geotechnical to join our northern California team in the Truckee/Tahoe area. You will manage geotechnical projects, supervise field work, review plans, and coordinate client communications under supervision of a Senior Engineer.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years of geotechnical experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and CA PE eligibility with opportunities for licensure within a year. Competitive benefits and growth available.

Qualifications

• Requires a Civil Engineering degree with geotechnical emphasis and CA PE eligibility/licensing within 6–12 months.
• Experience: 3–5+ years in engineering and/or geology for various project types.
• Strong project management, technical judgment, and field/office coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans.
• Controls project scope, schedule, and budget, coordinating resources.
• Supervises field work, analyzes test results, and maintains client relations.
