Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our renewables and power delivery team. The candidate will assist senior staff with projects involving geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for renewable energy, substations, and transmission lines.

Responsibilities include fieldwork, laboratory coordination, report preparation, and construction monitoring. The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to travel/work in the field and outdoors in various terrains.

Responsibilities

• Participate in geotechnical site investigations and prepare investigation reports.
• Interpret and analyze geotechnical data to classify materials and engineering characteristics.
• Perform analyses including seepage, slope stability, bearing capacity, and settlement.
• Keep management informed of status, workload and progress.
• Assist in proposals, bid documents, drawings and design reports.
