Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our renewables and power delivery team in Westminster, Colorado. You will assist senior staff with geotechnical investigations for renewable energy projects, substations, and transmission lines.

The role includes field work, laboratory coordination, analysis, report writing, and construction observation, with opportunities for mentoring and career growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in geotechnical site investigations, assign tests, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Interpret geotechnical data to classify materials and assess engineering characteristics.
• Perform analyses including seepage, slope stability, bearing capacity, liquefaction, and settlement.
• Communicate status to management and coordinate with project team.
• Assist in preparation of proposals, bid documents, drawings, and design reports.
