Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Lead Engineer to join our Power and Renewables teams in Westminster, CO. You will lead geotechnical investigations and designs for renewable energy projects, substations and transmission lines while mentoring junior staff and coordinating field/lab testing.

Responsibilities include proposals, data interpretation, and technical leadership across projects. PE required, 5+ years of related experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering from an ABET-accredited college; PE required.
• Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations and related design work.
• Participate in geotechnical site investigations, assign tests, analyze field and lab data, and prepare investigation reports.
• Interpret and analyze geotechnical data to establish material characteristics.
• Complete geotechnical engineering analyses including bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and liquefaction.
• Manage, supervise, mentor, and train geotechnical staff and foster a learning culture.
