Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Lead Engineer to join our Power and Renewables teams in Wisconsin. You will lead geotechnical investigations, oversee field and lab testing, and guide junior staff while coordinating proposals and reports for renewable energy projects.

The role emphasizes project management, technical writing, and collaboration across engineers and clients, with field travel as needed. A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• PE license required; Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience supervising geotechnical staff and leading projects.
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
• Geotechnical experience on power-related projects is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations and related design work.
• Participate in geotechnical site investigations, assign laboratory tests, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Interpret geotechnical data to classify materials and assess engineering characteristics.
• Conduct analyses including bearing capacity, settlement, liquefaction, seepage, and slope stability.
• Manage, supervise, and mentor geotechnical staff to foster learning and collaboration.
