Actalent is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical projects in the Truckee/Tahoe and Reno regions under a Sr. Engineer.

You will develop objectives, define scopes, prepare cost estimates, and maintain schedules and budgets while supervising field investigations and tests. The role emphasizes strong client communication, regulatory compliance, and leadership of staff professionals in a hybrid work environment across the Truckee, CA area.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional registration as a California PE, or the ability to obtain licensure in California within a 6 to 12-month testing cycle.
• 35+ years of experience in engineering and/or geology, including work on commercial, public works, resort structural, or DSA/HCAI projects.
• Solid foundation in geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
• Experience performing geotechnical investigations for residential, school, hospital, municipal, and solid waste infrastructure projects.

Responsabilités

• Manage geotechnical projects in the Truckee/Tahoe area and Reno basin under Sr. Engineer supervision.
• Develop objectives by reviewing proposals and aligning with client needs and regulatory requirements.
• Define project scope, understand client requirements, and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Establish schedules, coordinate resources, and monitor budgets for efficient delivery.
• Supervise field work, including investigations and materials testing, and analyze test results.
