Job summary

Certerra is seeking a motivated Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team in Reno, NV. You will support geotechnical investigations, field testing, data analysis, and report preparation on a wide variety of civil, infrastructure, and land development projects.

Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, you will gain hands‑on experience across all phases of geotechnical engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Required: B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering (geotechnical focus preferred);
• 1-3 years of geotechnical experience.
• Preferred: M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering; Experience in geotechnical or civil engineering.
• Licensure: Current PE license in Nevada or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Field Investigation & Sampling: Oversee, conduct and observe geotechnical borings, test pits, and CPT investigations.
• Log soil and rock samples using USCS and ASTM methods.
• Coordinate safely with drill crews on site.
