Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a ProjectGeotechnical Engineer to join our Seattle, WA office. This full-time role offers a mix of field and office work, leading portions of projects under senior staff and mentoring junior team members.

The position requires a Master’s in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering and 2+ years of design experience, with strong communication and reporting skills. Ideal candidates have familiarity with geotechnical analysis software and licenses; the salary ranges from $90,000

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2+ years of design experience in seismic, foundations, slope stability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Split time between field and office assignments.
• Lead portions of technical project work from scope to deliverables under senior staff guidance.
• Apply knowledge to execute project work and mentor junior staff.
• Communicate with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
• Plan and oversee geotechnical investigations, data evaluation, and design.
• Conduct construction observation and field-testing tasks.
• Prepare detailed documentation of activities in the field and data evaluation.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and safety behaviors.
