Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician to support soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates testing in our Fort Worth laboratory. You will prepare samples, operate testing equipment, record data, and help ensure compliance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.

The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, follows standard procedures, and adheres to safety and quality assurance practices while collaborating with engineers and field personnel on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 0–3 years in construction materials testing or geotechnical lab work.
• OSHA safety protocols and PPE usage required.
• Proficient with MS Office and Field Data Collection software.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Document results accurately and maintain organized records.
• Prepare samples and handle proper storage to preserve integrity.
• Operate laboratory testing equipment following procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Collaborate with engineers, field personnel, and supervisors on test results.
