Job summary

ECS Limited seeks an experienced engineering leader to manage our Tampa office as Group Manager. You will oversee geotechnical and construction materials projects, staff, client interactions, and day-to-day operations for the branch.

You will mentor engineers, supervise lab operations, review technical reports, and drive proposals with a focus on P&L. Strong leadership and business development skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience
• Must have ABET-accredited civil engineering degree
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary
• Proficient with geotechnical principles
• Experience conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, and field QA testing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong project management and marketing skills
• Leadership qualifications and business development orientation

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical and construction engineers and project managers
• Oversee laboratory operations
• Oversee projects, review technical reports, prepare proposals, and manage group P&L
• Assist with marketing our services by developing client interactions
• Interact with senior staff and mentor junior staff
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining staffing levels
