Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Tampa seeks an experienced engineering leader to serve as Group Manager, overseeing geotechnical and construction materials projects and staff.

You will manage laboratory operations, review technical reports, prepare proposals, and drive group P&L while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with senior staff.

Strong leadership, communications, and business development skills are essential to grow client relationships and expand services.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
• Driving license if driving for ECS subsidiary
• Proficient with geotechnical principles and applications
• Experience in laboratory testing, construction observation, and field QA testing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong project management and marketing skills
• Leadership qualifications and business development orientation

Responsibilities

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage our Tampa office. As the Group Manager, you will oversee engineering projects, staff, business development, and day-to-day operations for the branch.

Responsibilities:

• Requires a commitment to lead and mentor a team of geotechnical and construction materials engineers and project managers
• Oversee and manage all laboratory operations
• Oversee projects and perform technical report reviews, prepare proposals and management of the departments and group related P&L
• Assist other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions
• Interact with senior staff members and mentor junior staff members
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining an adequate staff level in your group

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
• Proficient with geotechnical principles and applications
• Have practical experience in conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, and field quality assurance testing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong project management and marketing skills
• Must possess leadership qualifications and be business development oriented
