ECS Group of Companies in Gainesville, FL is seeking an experienced engineering leader to serve as Group Manager, directing geotechnical and construction materials projects, staff and business development for the local office.

You will mentor engineers and PMs, oversee laboratory operations, review technical reports, manage group P&L and client relations, and help recruit top talent while advancing service delivery for multiple markets across ECS’s nationwide footprint.

Competenze

• 8 years of related experience.
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• If driving for ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Proficient with geotechnical principles and applications.
• Experience conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, and field QA testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong project management and marketing skills.
• Must possess leadership qualifications and be business development oriented.

• Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical and construction materials engineers and project managers.
• Oversee and manage all laboratory operations.
• Oversee projects and perform technical report reviews, prepare proposals and manage department/group P&L.
• Assist staff in marketing by maintaining and developing client interactions.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with recruiting to maintain staffing levels.
