Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Gainesville, FL, seeks an experienced engineering leader to serve as Group Manager, overseeing engineering projects, staff, business development, and day-to-day operations for the Gainesville office.

The role requires leadership of geotechnical and construction materials engineers, strong PM and marketing skills, and a proven track record in lab operations and field QA testing.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience.
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
• Proficient with geotechnical principles and applications.
• Experience in laboratory testing, construction observation, and field QA testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong project management and marketing skills.
• Leadership qualifications and business development oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical and construction materials engineers and project managers.
• Oversee laboratory operations.
• Manage projects, review technical reports, prepare proposals, and manage department P&L.
• Assist staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
• Interact with senior staff and mentor junior staff.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining staff levels in the group.
