Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Technician in Plano, TX to support our geotechnical engineering practice. The role involves field and lab sampling, testing soils and concrete, and preparing site reports.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of field inspection experience, a geology or engineering background is a plus, and relevant certifications are preferred. Valid driver’s license is required for travel to sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience with field inspection, and material testing for soils and concrete.
• Geology or Engineering degree is a BIG PLUS.
• EIT, GIT, ACI, ICC certifications preferred.
• Driver’s License in good standing, properly insured, capable of driving.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory sampling and testing.
• Observe and test earthwork and concrete construction.
• Drive to project sites and transport equipment and samples.
• Operate nuclear density gauge and other field equipment.
• Prepare field inspection reports on laptop.
• Read construction drawings and plot test locations.
