Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Technician to support geotechnical engineering projects. The role involves field sampling, testing soils and concrete, and producing inspection reports with site plans and drawings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience with field inspection and material testing for soils and concrete
• Geology or Engineering degree is a BIG PLUS
• Driver’s License in good standing, insured, capable of driving

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory sampling and testing
• Observe and test earthwork and concrete construction
• Transport equipment and samples to project sites
• Operate field equipment including nuclear density gauge
• Prepare field inspection reports and site plans
• Read construction drawings and plot test locations
• Assist with geologic research and report preparation
