Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Technician in Torrance, CA to support our geotechnical engineering practice.

You will perform field and laboratory sampling and testing, observe earthwork and concrete construction, and assist project management with geologic research and report exhibits. The role requires 1+ years of field inspection and material testing experience for soils and concrete, and a geology or engineering degree is a big plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience with field inspection, and material testing for soils and concrete.
• Geology or Engineering degree is a BIG PLUS.
• EIT, GIT, ACI, ICC certifications preferred.
• Driver’s License in good standing, properly insured, capable of driving.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory sampling and testing.
• Observe earthwork and concrete construction.
• Travel to project sites and transport equipment and samples.
• Operate nuclear density gauge and other field equipment.
• Prepare field inspection reports and exhibits.
