Job summary

AIMRIGHT Testing is seeking a Geotechnical Field Engineer to support field work across geotechnical and construction materials testing projects. In this role you will monitor field explorations, log borings and test data, collect samples, and prepare accurate daily field reports for engineers and project teams who rely on them.

This is a travel-based, rotational position built around a 21/7 schedule — three weeks on the road followed by a full week off at home.

Qualifications

• Interpret technical information and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Professional verbal and written communication with reliable field documentation.
• Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Accompany drill crews and field teams to log soil borings and subsurface explorations.
• Monitor field explorations and construction activities.
• Complete detailed, accurate field notes and boring logs, and prepare daily field reports.
• Collect, label, and transport samples in accordance with procedures and chain-of-custody requirements.
• Maintain, calibrate, and safely operate field equipment.
• Coordinate with drillers and project engineers; communicate field conditions clearly.
• Assist with laboratory testing and sample processing as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related degree program
