Qualifications

• Bachelor's in civil/structural/geotechnical engineering is required and a Master's in a related field is preferred.
• Professional engineer (PE) license in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts is required.
• NCTI Certification is preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in engineering consultancy (not including education).
• Proficient in structural software: STRAND7, SAP, STAAD or equivalent.
• Proficient in geotechnical software incl. Plaxis, GeoStudio, Slide, Rocscience; BIM tools knowledge (Bentley/Autodesk).
• Demonstrated record in design with geotechnical engineering, ground characterization, and foundation design.
• Strong references from past managers or clients; interest in underground design and transport/water sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of our geotechnical projects in the U.S. and Canada.
• Oversee staff and field investigation programs for design data and reports.
• Contribute to detailed analyses for tunnels and underground structures.
• Develop field instrumentation programs and evaluate data.
• Manage staff producing design solutions, reports, and drawings revisions.
• Write reports for clients, including technical memoranda and reports.
• Interact with clients and attend design/progress meetings under guidance from senior management.
• Contribute to proposals for clients; help develop design programs and mentor staff.
