Job summary

Accura Engineering in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3–5 years of geotechnical experience to support plan preparation, calculations, and drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities include site visits, permitting, and coordination with agencies while collaborating with multiple disciplines. GDOT project experience and a GA PE license are preferred; salary is discussed with the manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• Georgia PE license required.
• Minimum 3–5 years on GDOT projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under supervision of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.
